Head to the old quarter to get lost in a maze of medieval streets where unique boutiques rub shoulders with Gothic palaces, or stroll the high-brow avenues of L’Eixample district for designer shops - and designer price tags. For bargain hunting, come in early January or early July, when the bi-annual Rabajas (‘Sales’) hit, and stores slash prices.
